Three Bears in a Boat by David Soman

Three bear siblings break their mother's favorite blue seashell, and rather than tell her, they decide to set out in their sailboat to find her a new one. On their quest they encounter salty sailors, strange new islands, huge whales, and vast seas but no blue seashells. When a treacherous storm suddenly blows in, the three bears find themselves tossed about in their little boat, far from Mama. What will become of their search, and what will it take to bring them safely home? Three Bears in a Boat by David Soman was published in May 2014. This book was nominated for Pennsylvania Young Readers' Choice Award for Grades K-3.

The illustrations in this book are so amazing and really draw the attention to the book. Cassie really enjoyed this book. Though as a parent I felt like this was a really long story-line that didn't really explain that the bears best thing was to actually tell their mom the truth. So I felt like it was missing some aspect on the parent side. Cassie really liked the book though and loved looking at the pictures of the bears on their adventure. I just felt like it was missing that educational aspect that could really be easy to sneak in there. But it's a cute book and I recommend you to check it out.
