I Am Martin Luther King, Jr. by Brad Meltzer

 

We celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. birthday by reading a couple of books about his life. In this book, as a child Martin Luther King, Jr. was shocked by the terrible and unfair way African-American people were treated. When he grew up, he decided to do something about it. I Am Martin Luther King, Jr. by Brad Meltzer was published in January 2016. 

I really liked this book as it doesn't feel like a biography but a picture book story. I loved how my kids all paid attention to it and it kept their attention as I read it. I love the illustrations in this book how they are colorful and unique. It's a great book for kids to read and learn about Martin Luther King, Jr.
