Book Review: Duck on a Bike by David Shannon

We have read several of David Shannon books but have yet checked out this book. So when I saw it at the library I knew I had to check it out. In this book, Duck got a wild idea. He decided he could ride a bike around the farm. Then one thing led to the other and duck saw even more bikes on the farm. What do you think happened next? Duck on a Bike by David Shannon was published in April 2002. This book was awarded Charlotte Zolotow Award Nominee for Highly Commended Title in 2003, and California Young Readers Medal Nominee for Primary in 2005.

We love David Shannon books in our house especially his No David series. This book was no surprise for my kids who giggled at Duck silly behaviors. The illustrations in this book are so much fun and so so bright colored that it kept all of my kids attention. This book is so much fun and really worth checking out. It's one of those hidden gems and it really shouldn't be it's that good.

Have you read any David Shannon books? Which ones?
