50 States of Reading: Arizona
The next stop on our trip of the fifty states through reading is Arizona. The kids were excited about learning about Arizona as their Uncle James used to live in Arizona for a long time. So they learned a few things about the state.
Arizona (Rookie Read-Aloud) by Michelle Aki Becker was published September 2004. We liked this book a lot. It had lots of different things in the book. My kids really liked looking at the pictures of the landscapes in this book. As it's totally different from our own landscapes. My kids really enjoyed learning about the culture and people in Arizona. They talked about how they are similar and how they are different then ours. We also liked how it touches on the history and food. I liked how they touched on all the landforms in Arizona. This book is really good and I recommend checking it out.
