In our 50 states of Reading series we read about the state of Oregon. This state has a lot of history and different kind of lands then we do.
Oregon (Rookie Read-About Geography) by Susan Labella was published September 2006. We really liked this book. I loved how it is simple text that a young child can listen. Also that it is not in depth. The pictures in this book are colorful and fit the text really well. This book is really good for K-4th grade. My kids were able to be introduced to culture in Oregon, the timeline of the state and what has changed, and places like landforms and environment. I recommend you to check it out with your kids.
