The Old Lady turns into an old pirate who travels across the seas, swallowing a map, a rope, a sword, a spyglass, an anchor, a flag, and treasure. Why? Well, it was a pleasure to swallow that treasure! There Was an Old Pirate Who Swallowed a Map! by Lucille Colandro illustrated by Jared D. Lee was published in March 2018. This book is apart of There Was an Old Lady series. 

We love The Old Lady swallowed series in my family. There are so many fun books in this series. My kids though did not enjoy this book as much as the others in this series. The illustrations are just like the others but we felt like it had to many things in this book and the ending just didn't make sense. My kids were bored with this book and it was hard to read aloud.
