The Pigeon Needs a Bath! by Mo Willems

 

The Pigeon really needs a bath! Except, the Pigeon's not so sure about that. Besides, he took a bath last month! Maybe. It's going to take some serious convincing to try and get the Pigeon to take the plunge. The Pigeon Needs a Bath! by Mo Willems was published in April 2014. This book is apart of the Pigeon series. This book has won Goodreads Choice Award for Picture Books in 2014. 

I am sure you guys are so tired of me reviewing Pigeon books but for some reason Mason has been so into reading this series. His reading is getting so amazing with each Pigeon book that its hard to check them out of the library for him. So we have switched from me reading Pigeon words on every page to Mason being the Pigeon and I am the person to convince him that he needs a bath. It makes it so much fun for Mason to practice his reading on the book. Also it shows him how to make reading fun. The illustrations in this book are colorful and simple, like all Mo Willems illustrations. The story-line is simple but still makes you giggle at the famous antics of Pigeon. Mason really enjoyed this book and he laughed so much being Pigeon. He even told me, "I have said that before." I think all parents have a little Pigeon in their own children at one time or another. Or every single day. This book is so cute and worth checking out either reading to your own little Pigeon or having your Pigeon read the book to you.
