50 States of Reading: Nebraska

 

In our next state on our travel through reading we got learn about Nebraska. We actually had the pleasure to travel to Nebraska when Mason was a baby. We had the pleasure on visiting the Omaha zoo and a children's museum there. We also visited one of our churches temples. We also a long time ago had a family member live in Nebraska. So of course the kids were excited to check out this story. 

Nebraska (True Book My United States) by Jennifer Zeiger was published in September 2018. My kids really enjoyed learning about Nebraska with this book. We didn't read the book from cover to cover because it would be too much for the kids. This book had amazing photographs that show all of the amazing features of Nebraska. This book covers local dishes, culture, history, animals, plant life. It also has a really cool facts page that talks about different things. I really like this book and it is for sure a neat book to check out.
