Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Illustrated Edition by J.K. Rowling

Harry Potter's life is miserable. His parents are dead and he's stuck with his heartless relatives, who force him to live in a tiny closet under the stairs. But his fortune changes when he receives a letter that tells him the truth about himself: he's a wizard. A mysterious visitor rescues him from his relatives and takes him to his new home, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Illustrated Edition by J.K. Rowling illustrated by Jim Kay was published in 2015. The original was published in June 1997.

I read the original book when I was in junior high and loved the series so much. So much that I collect a lot of the Harry Potter merchandise. Even my oldest is named after a character in the series. The illustrations in this book are amazing and it really brought the characters and the book to life. My kids really liked looking at the illustrations. I love this story about good and evil. This book has such an amazing story-line. J.K. Rowling really new how to write words and make you fall into a book. The descriptions in the book helped you see everything in the book. I love this book so much even more as an adult. I love how she uses the characters to help build up the story and how each page builds the story-line. I highly recommend this book to all families.
