Never Play Music Right Next to the Zoo by John Lithgow

 

We love animals in our house and when I saw this book, I knew that we had to check it out. In this book a concert gets out of hand when the animals at the neighboring zoo storm the stage. Never Play Music Right Next to the Zoo by John Lithgow illustrated by Leeza Hernandez was published in October 2013. 

The illustrations in this book are so much fun and there is so much going on in this book. The text of this book is easy to read aloud and have a sing song quality. I was able to read this story to all four of my kiddos. Ginny really liked it and took that the boy slept through the whole thing and it was a dream. The other kids think it was actually taking place and the animals were really preforming. It's a cute story that makes you really think.
