The Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle

Early one morning a little spider spins her web on a fence post. One by one, the animals of the nearby farm try to distract her, yet the busy little spider keeps diligently at her work. When she is done, she is able to show everyone that not only is her creation quite beautiful, it is also quite useful! The Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle was published in 1985.

I have always enjoyed Eric Carle books either as an author or an illustrator. His illustrations are amazing and so unique. There is nothing like the amazing colorful pages that he creates in the books. This book is no different. It has amazing illustrations that grab the attention of both kids and adults alike. The illustrations really help tell the story in the text. The text in this book is whimsical and really cute. I love how the spider is so busy it ignores everything that is going on around it. But yet the book in a round about way explain what is happening around the farm. Cassie really enjoyed this book and wanted to find more spider books. I highly recommend checking out this classic tale.
