Dinosaur Roar! by Paul and Henrietta Stickland

Dinosaurs are the gimmick here, not really the subject. The subjects are, first, antonyms and then lunch. They paired dinosaurs, in a goofy array of pastels, are almost all smiling, even when the rhyme insists they're grumpy. Dinosaurs Roar! by Paul and Henrietta Stickland was published in 1994.

I love how this book is full of rhymes which is great for kids who are pre-k learning how to read. Rhyming words really help them learn how to read faster as it's similar sounds that make different words. The illustrations in this book are bright and colorful so it help keeps the attention on the book rather then on a friend or sibling. The words in this book are super simple and kids really enjoyed it. Even my older kids light the book and the silliness of the sounds. I highly recommend checking this book out for your preschooler.
