Falling for Rapunzel by Leah Wilcox

The prince is hoping to fall for Rapunzel, but since she can't quite hear what he asks for, everything but her hair gets tossed out her window. Instead of her curly locks, she throws her dirty socks. Instead of her silky tresses, out go lacey dresses. Falling for Rapunzel by Leah Wilcox illustrated by Lydia Monks was published in 2003.

The illustrations in this book are so fun and mystical. They are not at all real-life but it really works with this fun take on Rapunzel. The story-line is so funny and my kids were giggling at the misunderstanding of the two main characters. This is such a fun take on the famous fairy tale. It has a lot of the normal fairy tale where Rapunzel is stuck in a tower and the prince comes to rescue her. But it changes it up by her not being able to understand what he is asking for. I recommend checking this fun book out.
