So before we started to read this book I had my kids predict what they believe was going to happen in this book. Of course they thought that the alligator was going to eat the students. But they had a lot of fun predicting what was going to happen. Then we read the book and the kids had a lot of fun seeing some of what they predicted and lots that they didn't predict. The kids really enjoyed this book and giggling at the silly antics of the alligator. They often asked why would the teacher allow the alligator in the first place. The illustrations are full of color and really help show the story. It's a cute story and we recommend you checking it out.
