Curious George and the Sleepover by H.A. Rey

My husband will tell everyone that he will always say that Curious George books taught him how to read. My husband has a few learning disabilities so reading was difficult for him as a child. It's one of those things that I watch my own children for. It's important as parents to know the signs of learning disabilities and find ways to get them tested. But that's another post for another time.

In this book, when George is invited to his first sleepover, he is ready to go! It will be a wonderful time filled with fun, games, and special food, shared with his good friends. George packs everything he needs, but what he isn't prepared for is how worried he feels. And when little monkeys get nervous, they can sometimes get into trouble ...Can his friends help George overcome his unexpected bout of homesickness to save the sleepover? Curious George and the Sleepover by H.A. Rey was published in January 2017.

Cassie is really starting to enjoy reading Curious George books with me. Cassie really enjoyed reading this book with me. She loved looking at the illustrations are on the page. The illustrations are colorful and really well down and have lots of details. She was not bored at all when we read the book together and giggled throughout at the silly antics that George did through the book. She couldn't wait to find another Curious George book. This book is easy to read-aloud just beware that some pages do have a lot of words on it so it just needs a little extra time compare to some other picture books. But that is totally normal for Curious George books.
