The Reindeer Wish by Lori Evert and Per Breiehagen

When Anja discovers an abandon reindeer baby in the woods, she cares for it and raises it as her own. They become dear friends and have many adventures together, but as the reindeer grows he wishes to rejoin his kind. So Anja leads him to join the greatest reindeer of all - those of Santa's sled team. The Reindeer Wish by Lori Evert and Per Breiehagen was published in October 2015. This book is apart of the Wish series.

I had a lot of hope for this book. It is based on some Nordic Christmas so I was excited to read it to Cassie. We are currently reading books of Christmas and added reading other culture books for Christmas as well. The illustrations in this book are adorable. I love that they look so life-like that I believe that it could be actually a picture. It actually could be a picture but some of the pictures I don't believe could happen. This book is really sweet but it just didn't keep Cassie's attention. That could be because she is young and with this book there is a lot of text. There are words that she didn't understand so she grew bored of the story really quickly. So I recommend this book be for a higher elementary level. She did enjoy looking at the pictures throughout the book and we ended up discussing this pictures.
