In this clever twist on the Night Before Christmas story, a gingerbread boy cookie is carefully crafted and placed on a plate. He was made special to serve as Santa's nightime snack, a homemade thank-you for all the presents he will deliver. The cookie wonders if he is brave enough to face up to his holiday duty. This was a strange picture book in that the cookie was happy to be eaten by Santa. My kids enjoyed this book and we all thought that it was a different take on Night Before Christmas. The kids enjoyed the illustrations through this book. We liked that it was different then most Christmas stories as there are a ton of Christmas stories out there. We had fun reading it as a family and watching it all come to end. I recommend checking out this book.
