The Friendship Code by Stacie Deutsch

Loops, variables, input/output - Lucy can't wait to get started with the new coding club at school. Finally, an after school activity that she's really interested in. But Lucy's excitement turns to disappointment when she's put into work group with girls she barely knows. All she wanted to do was make an app that she believes will help someone very special to her. The Friendship Code by Stacie Deutsch illustrated by Andrea Fernandez was published in August 2017. This is book one of the Girls Who Code series.

So my oldest is not a big reader at all much to my reader heart. I seriously believe that when we find a book that she wants to read without pressure that she will fall in love with reading. Anyways, we decided to check out this book together to see if it was something she was interested in. Ginny did not enjoy this book. We read about five chapters to see if it was going to get better or if we need to move on to a different book. Well, Ginny told me that this story is really slow and I agreed with her. We couldn't fall in love with the main character as both of us thought she was complaining so much through the first five chapters. We didn't enjoy this book and didn't even finish the book.
