Book Review: Planet Kindergarten by Sue Ganz-Schmitt

When we found this book we were getting ready for Miles first day of Kindergarten. This was my second child to enter into Kindergarten. Miles loves school, but has been with the same pre-school teacher since he turned three years old. So I decided to get lots of books about kindergarten over the summer to help him with his transition into Kindergarten. In case you don't know, Miles was diagnosed at three years old with autism. We found "Planet Kindergarten" by Sue Ganz-Schmitt and illustrated by Shane Prigmore. Suit up for a daring adventure as our hero navigates the unknown reaches and alien inhabitants of this strange new world.

Let's first talk about the illustrations in this book by Shane Prigmore. The illustrations were so creative in how they linked Kindergarten to Space. Miles loves space so he really enjoyed this book. I loved the text throughout this book with all their creative word play. My kids really enjoyed this book as well because it wasn't just what to expect in Kindergarten but it was saying that Kindergarten was adventure that everyone needs to go through. It's a perfect book for your future Kindergartner to check out.
