Vampirina Ballerina by Marie Anne Pace

Oh, to be a ballerina! It's a challenge for any little girl, but even more so if you happen to be a vampire like Vampirina. First of all, you have to find a class that meets at night. Then you have to figure out how to perfect your form when you can't see yourself in the mirror? And then there's wearing pink (not the most flattering of colors if you happen to be undead) and that nagging urge to take a little nip out of the other dancers. And worse of all STAGE FRIGHT!!! Vampirina Ballerina by Anne Marie Pace illustrated by LeUyen Pham was published in August 2012.

This is such a cute story. I love how different it is compare to other children's books. This book is not really colorful in the illustrated. The illustrations though are amazing well done and really bring the characters to life. The story is easy to read aloud and there was no worry about stumbling over words. The story-line is adorable and tell a story of not judging a person for the way they look. Cassie really enjoyed this story and wanted to read it over and over again.
