The Cow That Went Oink by Bernard Most

 

We like finding unusual books to read and this was an usual title for a book. In this book, a cow that oinks and a pig that moos are ridiculed by the other barnyard animals until each teaches the other a new sound. The Cow That Went Oink written and illustrated by Bernard Most was published in September 1990. 

I read this book with Cassie over this past summer and she giggled so much during this book. She loved the basic illustrations as they were so colorful and the animals actually looked like what they were suppose to look like. She thought the text in this story was so funny. The text is easy to read-aloud and the story-line is really cute. This is a really cute book and worth reading to preschoolers. Especially to preschoolers who know what a cow really says and a pig.
