Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons by Eric Litwin

Count down with Pete in this rocking story that makes counting fun! Pete the Cat is wearing his favorite shirt - the one with the four totally groovy buttons. But when one falls off, does Pete cry? Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons by Eric Litwin illustrated by James Dean was published in May 2012. This book is apart of the Pete the Cat series. It has won Theodor Seuss Gisel Award Nominee in 2013, Goodreads Choice Award Nominee for Picture Books in 2012, Indiana Early Literacy Firefly Award Nominee in 2015.

If anyone knows much about my kids it's that they love Pete the Cat books. So don't be surprised if you see me book review these books a lot. The illustrations in this book are just as colorful and really grab the attention to the book. I love how that Pete doesn't let things bother him in most of the books. In this book, especially Pete just keeps moving along even though he's losing buttons on his coat. It just shows how to react to things that bother you. No reason to be upset by it and just move on. My kids loved this story so much that we had to read it over and over until we had to return it to the library. I recommend this book for preschool and toddlers. It is also really easy to read a loud and make the book come to life with your voice.
