Today I Will Fly! by Mo Willems

 

Piggie is determined to fly. But Gerald the elephant knows that's impossible --isn't it? Today I Will Fly! by Mo Willems was published in March 2007. This is book one of the the Elephant and Piggie series. 

We love Mo Willems book they are so unique in style that's it's so hard to not fall in love with his writing style. The illustrations are basic but so colorful. The characters are so easy to fall in love with them. I love that I can read a character and my kids can read the other. It helps them with fluency as they learn to speak like the character. Also helps them practice reading. This book is worth checking out.
