Hippos Are Huge! by Jonathan London

 

What's the deadliest animal in Africa? It's not the lion or the crocodile - it's the hippopotamus! Hippos have razor - sharp tusks, weigh as much as fifty men, and can run twenty-five miles per hour! Hippos Are Huge! by Jonathan London illustrated by Matthew Trueman was published in January 2015. 

This book is so fun and colorful. I loved that they talked about hippos in the language that a little kid could understand. My kids loved learning about hippos and their interesting facts. The illustrations in this book are amazing though I wish that some of them were actual pictures of hippos. This book is perfect to start introducing non-fiction books to preschoolers. This is a great book and I highly recommend it.
