Snoring Beauty by Sudipta Bardhan-Quallen

There are so many different types of fairy tales out there and for each fairy tale there is different ways to tell it. In this book, is a spin on the classic fairy tale "Sleeping Beauty". Tucked in his little bed inside the castle walls, Mouse is eager to get good night's sleep before his wedding tomorrow. But just as he begins to drift off, he's awoken by a tremendous roar. Sleeping Beauty is snoring...again! When the handsome Prince Max arrives, Mouse thinks he's found the perfect scheme: He'll convince the prince to kiss Beauty and wake her up! Snoring Beauty by Sudipta Bardhan-Quallen illustrated by Jane Manning was published on March 2014.

I had the pleasure of reading this book to Cassie. This book is really funny and unique in the telling of Sleeping Beauty. Cassie loved the snoring parts as I pretend to snore really crazy way. The illustrations are cute and colorful and really draw the attention. I only gave it four stars as some of the story-line is a little weird but all in all its a cute book. The book is really easy to read aloud which a good place when you are reading to a toddler. Check this book out the next time you are the library.
