Book Review: The Beetle Alphabet Book by Jerry Pallotta

I am starting to read books through the alphabet with Mason and Cassie. This is my last year at home during the school year with Mason. As he goes to Kindergarten next year. So this year, I am hitting preschool hard with him. Cassie just gets to go along for the ride. I choose "The Beetle Alphabet Book" by Jerry Pallotta, as it deals with bugs. What little boy doesn't like bugs?

In this book every letter has a different type of beetle. They also have information about the said beetle in little kid speak. Occasionally you see other random books pop up throughout the book which made Mason giggle. This book was published in 2004, and apart of Jerry Pallotta's Alphabet Book series.

This book is really neat in the concept. I really wish they used actual pictures of the beetles then using illustrations. I think pictures would have really shown what the beetles looked like. Some of the information was a bit long for a young child that would be listening to someone read an alphabet book. All in all its a neat book and really good for kids who love bugs.
