Sunny the meerkat travels the world in the search of the perfect Christmas. Sunny wants a white Christmas, with a decorated tree, carols and sprouts for dinner ... none of which he can see at home in the Kalahari desert. So off he heads to find the perfect Christmas elsewhere, before realizing that maybe Christmas isn't all about the trimmings. Meerkat Christmas by Emily Gravett was published in 2019 and is the second book in Sunny the Meerkat series. 

This is such an usual Christmas book that your not often find to read. You wouldn't think a meerkat would have a book about Christmas. Cassie loves any books with animals in them and so it was not surprising that she loved this book. The illustrations in this book are colorful and will capture the personalities of the meerkat and any character in the book. This is such a fun book and I feel like the storyline is adorable and different. Especially for kids who feel like Christmas has to be a certain way when in reality Christmas is about being around loved ones. I recommend checking this book out.
