Book Review: God Gave Us Easter by Lisa Tawn Bergren

Lisa Tawn Bergren is the best-selling, award-winning author of more than 40 books, with over 3 million copies sold. Her most recent works includes the Young Adult series Remnants, The River of Time Series (Waterfall, Cascade, Torrent, Bourne & Tributary, Deluge). Lisa's time is split between managing home base, writing, and working on ducks with her husband, Tim. They have three kids.

In God Gave Us Easter, a little cub celebrates Easter with Papa, Mama, and her brother and sisters. She begins asking her papa questions about this very special day of the year. Papa lovingly explains God's plans for his children, while taking Little Cub on a memorable walk through her stunning Arctic world. He shares how Easter came about in clear, simple terms that even the littlest cubs can understand.

I really like the concept for this book to explain why we celebrate Easter. The illustrations in this book are amazing and well thought out. My kids really liked how soft and gentle they look in each picture. We really liked the story and I had to explain things to them because we don't believe everything they believe in or how it happened. I recommend reading this story.
