Book Review: Happy Valentine's Day, Mouse! by Laura Numeroff

Laura Numeroff is the New York Times bestselling author of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, Raising a Hero, and What Mommies Do Best/ What Daddies Do Best. Laura was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up as the youngest of three girls. She attended Pratt Institute and graduated with a degree in communication. She wrote her first children's book in 1975. President George W. Bush, First Lady Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton have all read her books to children. Laura Numeroff was one of ten children's authors invited to a literacy day in Washington during the Bush administration in 2001.

In Happy Valentine's Day, Mouse! by Laura Joffe Numeroff is another story about Mouse from If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. In this story Mouse is celebrating Valentine's Day with all the friends he loves and adores. He makes Valentine's to each friend and what he loves about each one of his friends.

I first must say that we love books by Laura Numeroff, she has such creative ideas and her books with the illustrator Felicia Bond are amazing. With that said, this book is just like the others that have created before it. We follow Mouse as he makes Valentine's for his friends and of course to Mouse has to ask for everything. My kids loved this book and we love how colorful the illustration is. They thought it was fun to follow Mouse on his Valentine's celebration. We recommend reading this and other Laura Numeroff.
