Book Review: Room for a Little One: A Christmas Tale by Martin Waddell

Christmas is coming soon and that means more Christmas books. We have been so busy this year in our house that we have had barely anytime to get ready for Christmas. We have had sickness, head lice, and we are also renovating our garage into a studio apartment. So much to do during this time of the year. But as a mom reading to my kids is at the top of my list of things to do everyday amonst cleaning house and doing laundry. I love hearing different versions of the first Christmas so when I saw this book at the library I had to grab it. Look at the amazing cover of this book and you can see why I chose it to read to my kiddos. "Room for a Little One: A Christmas Tale" by Martin Waddell, is about things that happen in the stable. Each animal that enters into the stable the other animals say there is room for them. Whether its a donkey, a dog, a cat, or even a mouse.

Let's talk about the amazing illustrations that Jason Cockcroft has created on every page. They are so life-like that you can almost touch the dogs fur. The colors on every page are so soft and gentle which is perfect when you read a story about the first Christmas. The words of this book are so gentle and soft that you almost have to whisper the words. It's such a cute story line of the first Christmas and helps us remember what the first Christmas was like. We will for sure add this to our Christmas collection to read every year.
