Book Review: United by Melissa Landers

United by Melissa Landers is the third book in the Alienated series. If you haven't read Book 1: Alienated, or book 2: Invaded please beware that this post might be spoiler.

The treaty between Earth and L'eihr has awakened an ancient force that threatens to destroy them all. The Aribol, mysterious guardians charged with maintaining interstellar peace, deem the alliance a threat to the galaxy. They order a separation of the races, decreeing humans and L'eihrs must return to their own planets within the month or face extinction. In fact, they already have agents in place on Earth, ready to begin.

With the clock ticking, Aelyx and Cara assemble a team of colonists and race back to Earth, where they unite with old friends to solve the mystery of who the Aribol are, what they want, and the real reason the alliance has provoked them. As tensions build to full-scale war, Aelyx and Cara must fight harder than ever - not just for their future, but for the survival of both their worlds.

So this is book three in the series and what it seems like is the last book. I wasn't too sure if I liked this book at first other then the amazing cover. Cara really seemed like she whined a lot in the beginning. I understand she is a teenager but she was really a flat character and Aelyx was not far behind in this book. Though through the second half of the book it was fast paced and it tarted to feel like things were getting better in the end of the book. I really like how this book finished and like how the books progressed with different yet similar problems happening to Cara and Aelyx.  All in all I feel like this series ended on a good note.
