Dear Yeti by James Kwan

Two young hikers set out to look for a Yeti one day, and with the help of a bird friend, they trek further and further into the woods, sending letters to coax the shy creature out of hiding. But as their trip goes on, the hikers find that they have not prepared very well, and though their morale is high, food supplies are low, the forest is getting darker, and a snowstorm looms. Dear Yeti by James Kwan was published in November 2015.

The illustrations in this book are amazing and so beautiful in self. I also really like the way this story was written with it letter writing back and forth. I think it would be great to use to introduce letter writing techniques. But it does make it a little harder to read aloud but you can make it work especially if you are reading along side a child. Cassie wasn't much of a fan of the book as she was bored rather quickly. So I don't recommend it to toddlers or preschoolers. I would use it for elementary age kids.
