Book Review: Lilly's Big Day by Kevin Henkes

In the book, Lilly's Big Day by Kevin Henkes is about a little girl named Lilly. This little girl finds out that her teacher Mr. Slinger is getting married to the nurse. Lilly is sure she is going to be the flower girl. She practices all the time to be the best flower girl she can be. Shen the finds out that she is not the flower girl but Mr. Slinger's niece Ginger. Find out what happens to Lilly after she find out in the book.

My daughter picked this out at her school on library day. We really enjoyed reading this book together. It captured her attention as well as Miles attention. It was so funny and my daughter was cheering Lilly on to be a flower girl. We loved the pictures and how colorful they are it really made the book. We can't wait to read another book by Kevin Henkes.
