Book Review: Lacey the Little Mermaid Fairy (The Fairy Tale Fairies #7) by Daisy Meadows

So right now my daughter who is five is really into magical beings. We just started to touch in chapter books with her and she loves it. Anyways, she has a few of the fairy books but none of them in order. We decided to borrow some from the library and came across, Lacey the Little Mermaid Fairy by Daisy Meadows. This book is number 7 of The Fairy Tale Fairies.

In this book you get to follow the main characters Rachel and Kirsty who are humans and they get to attend a special fairy tale festival at a castle. That is when the evil goblin Jack Frost steals Lacey's magic conch shell and the fairy can't get home or even finish her fairy tale.

So my daughter and I are not reading these books in order but we are enjoying them so far. My daughter loves the book and wants to read more then a chapter every night. She loves to look at the pictures that are throughout the story to help her imagine what is going on. She laughed when she finally found out that Jack Frost was a goblin himself especially when he tries to become a mermaid. The book is so much fun with a lot of drama and magic. She loved the story of Lacey. As a parent of a girl I really like that the book has given the girls a leadership in the book. The girls are the one who come up with ideas to help each fairy. It shows that boys don't always have to save the day but girls can as well. I am really enjoy these books along side of my five year old daughter.
