Chicka Chicka 1-2-3 by Bill Martin Jr.

One hundred and one numbers climb the apple tree in this bright, rollicking, joyous book for young children. As the numerals pile up and bumblebees threaten, what's the number that saves the day? Read and count and play and laugh to learn the surprising answer. Chicka Chicka 1-2-3 by Bill Martin Jr. and Michael Sampson illustrated by Lois Ehlert was published in July 2004. This is the second book in Chicka Chicka series.

For some odd reason I haven't had the chance to review this book. But I have had the chance to read this book multiple of times for each of my children growing up. It's one of those books that has stayed on our bookshelf since Ginny was a baby. I really enjoy the first book in the series and though this book would be really similar but with numbers. But this book is different where when it reaches a certain point of the book it starts counting by tens then it goes by 1s later on. That is one of the big reason that it's not my favorite counting book around. As there is a lot of confusion of it going back and then forth. Another is that it's not so much sing song as the first one. With it being an apple tree and then bumblebees come some of the wording can get all tangle on your tongue if you do try to sing it. The illustrations though are similar to the first book and kids still love listening to this amazing book. I recommend checking it out.
