The Three Billy Goat Gruff by Paul Galdone

This classic story is a favorite with toddlers, who will cheer on the three clever billy goats who outsmart a mean troll. With plenty of repetition, this adventure is perfect for reading aloud and for joining in, and satisfying ending provides a reassuring touch. The Three Billy Goat Gruff by Peter Christen Asbjornsen adapted/illustrator Paul Galdone was published in 1841.

This story is such a fun classic that I think every child should hear at least once growing up. My kids this past school year were able to create a bridge and try to get the goats across the bridge before the trolls got them. My kids love trying to pretend to be the troll in the story and usually we have lots of giggles. This is a cute book that ends on a good note. The illustrations in this edition are so life-like and really show the love the author had for the book. They go really well with each page that bring the characters to life. I highly recommend you to check out this book.
