Book Review: Alphabet Trains by Samantha R. Vamos

Samantha R. Vamos was born in Madison, Wisconsin. Though she grew up on the East Coast and attended Georgetown University Law Center. She has written, Before You Were Here, Mi Amor which was inspired by the birth of her sister's first child. The book, The Cazuela That the Farm Maiden Stirred, popped into her head while she cooked.
Alphabet Trains by Samantha R. Vamos is about a train ride through the alphabet. Whether chugchug-chugging up a moutainside in an Incline train or zipping at super speed in a Bullet train, trains will get you where you need to be -A to Z!
I really wanted to like this book. I love books that go through the alphabet because it teaches kids words connected to each letter but it also helps them learn the letters in order. This book is really good and really wonderful illustrations. The bad part is the words and vocabulary is high for the kids who love alphabet books. My kids were bored really quickly as the words just went over their heads. It did not keep their interest and they were ready to read a different book.
