Book Review: The Juice Box Bully: Empowering Kids to Stand Up for Others by Bob Sornson

I really wanted my kids to learn about how to stand up for others and how to be a friend. Also wanted them to know what we expected them while they are at school. "The Juice Box Bully: Empowering Kids to Stand Up for Others" by Bob Sornson and Maria Dismondy was published in 2010.

This book is about a boy named Pete. Pete is the new student at the school and he behaves badly. His classmates teach him about a promise that they made with their teacher in hopes that Pete will also follow the promise and not follow his bullying path.

I really enjoyed this book and how it helps teach about standing up against a bully. Also teaches forgiveness when you see that Pete does something horrible to a classmate and she forgives him. It really gives my own kids empowered feeling that they should stand up to others who are not doing what they should be doing. That they should let them know in a sweet way. I thought the illustrations could use more colorful and less old fashion but it didn't take away from the book.
